Adaptogenic Chocolate Protein Bars

Adaptogenic Chocolate Protein Bars

How do you add stress-fighting adaptogens to delicious and healthy protein bars? With chaga of course!

On top of being the top source of antioxidants, Chaga is also a leading herbal adaptogen. Adaptogens increase the body’s resistance to physical, chemical, and biological (bacteria and viruses) stressors. When stress hormones like cortisol are secreted in excess, they do immense damage to the your body.

Side effects of chronically elevated cortisol can include:

- Anxiety

- Autoimmune diseases

- Cancer

- Chronic fatigue syndrome

- Common Colds

- Hormone imbalance

- Irritable bowel disease

- Thyroid conditions

- Weight loss resistance

Up to 80% of all diseases are mainly due to stress and poor diet so it's important to add even more stress-busting chaga to your daily routine by incorporating it into yummy, healthy snacks like these soft, and chewy chocolate chaga bars. Hemp hearts and organic protein powder give these mid-day power snacks an awesome protein punch. Check out the recipe below.
