Dr. Rhea Mehta’s Foffee Recipe – Featuring Wild Remedies Chaga
RecipeI’m so excited to share one of my favorite recipes of all time with you! That’s Foffee.
You might be wondering if there’s a typo in there… No typos here. Foffee IS coffee for the non-coffee drinkers, or for those of us wanting to change things up for health, palate or other reasons.
Adrenal fatigue is a real thing. So is coffee addiction. You might be nodding yes. I was once there, on both accounts, and that’s when I decided to experiment with other nutrient-enriched superfoods, hot liquid, spices and love. That’s how Foffee was born.
My IDEAL way to make Foffee is with CHAGA tea or mushroom powder. I’m a huge chaga supporter because it’s got antioxidant effects off the charts. That’s right, OFF THE CHARTS!
And to express how much I love this mushroom, I once yelled “CHAGA!” out loud in my sleep in a room full of humans, and I’ve been nicknamed chaga ever since :).
Chaga is not only a super antioxidant (more potent than most foods you know), it’s also an immune booster. One word of caution though: source matters.
That’s why I’m excited to endorse Wild Remedies’ chaga because this product is made with such intention, critical thought and care.
Here’s the recipe
Ingredients
• 2 cups warm chaga tea
• 1/4 cup coconut cream or unsweetened nut milk
• 1 tbsp coconut oil or MCT oil
• 1 tbsp raw cacao
• ¼ tsp cinnamon and chai powders
• Optional: pinch cayenne pepper, pink salt, stevia
• 1 small piece of fresh ginger and turmeric
Method
To a high-speed blender, add tea, followed by the remaining wet and dry ingredients.
Blend on high for 15-20 seconds and serve.
